Euroclone

Euroclone was established in Italy in 1998 and today is a well-known provider of products for the Life Science field, as well as for agricultural and food diagnostics. BioNordika distributes their standard cell culture products as well as the cytogenetics media in the Nordics.

Cell Culture Media and Reagents

Euroclone manufactures a wide variety of basal media for cell culture for research applications. Standard formulas are available in sterile liquid or powder form, with or without added supplements and phenol red. The liquid media are tested for sterility, pH and osmolarity. The cell culture media portfolio includes high and low glucose DMEM, DMEM/F-12, MEM with different salt solution options, Ham´s F-10 and F-12, RPMI, IMDM, McCoy´s 5A, and Leibovitz´s L-15.

Euroclone also supplies supplementary and other cell culture reagents, such as salt solutions, L-Glutamine, Penicillin/Streptomycin and other antibiotics, HEPES buffer, Non-Essential Amino Acids, Trypsin EDTA, PBS and DPBS.

Chromosome Media

Euroclone manufactures the Chromosome P and the Chromosome M cell culture media that are specifically optimised for the culture of peripheral blood cells and bone marrow cells, respectively.

Chromosome P media is a complete, ready-to-use media for culturing peripheral blood cells collected in heparin. Subsequently, the blood cells are used in chromosome analysis and diagnostics.

Antibiotics and Selection Reagents

Accidental contamination of a cell culture by bacteria, yeasts, fungi or mycoplasma leads to a rapid growth of the contaminating microorganism and to cell culture deterioration. To avoid this, all the handling procedures must be performed under aseptic conditions and usually a prophylactic use of antimicrobial agents is advantageous. Euroclone provides, for example, Amphotericin B (Fungizone), Antibiotic-Antimycotic, Gentamycin, G-418, and Penicillin-Streptomycin.
